Wedeko has been offering complete solutions in the field of screen advertising for over 20 years. An experienced team takes on all tasks in the realization of digital signage systems - from consulting to installation and service. Digital signage systems consist of customized screens, such as portrait or landscape format displays, outdoor models or screen walls, as well as the associated advertising and information content. Content is flexibly created and controlled using the VisuScreen software.
makandra was responsible for the design relaunch of the VisuScreen application and the redesign of the associated demo version. A central component was also the creation of an onboarding guide for the demo version.

Key challenges
- Time-consuming onboarding and unclear user guidance
The existing demo version of VisuScreen was only accessible by appointment, which was inefficient for both sides and an additional hurdle for many interested parties. In addition, there were no user-friendly instructions for the application, which made it difficult to get started and impaired the user experience. - Inconsistent design and missing functionalities
The software was not consistently uniform in its design and did not yet have a modern, responsive design system.

Optimized onboarding and demo access
To make it as easy as possible for potential customers to get started with the software, we have introduced a demo version with an onboarding guide.

We have implemented a responsive design system that combines modern design with a high level of user-friendliness.
- The modern, responsive design system contains all the necessary components and design guidelines as well as numerous screen designs.
- All user interface elements were revised and new icons were designed.
- Light and dark modes have been integrated for a contemporary appearance.
- The focus was placed on the expandability of the system for future adaptations.
